smudging the line
I run a twice-weekly literary letter celebrating all things soft, sour, and sweet. My project is to document soft objects I come in contact with and smudge the lines that keep those objects and ideas in boxes–-apart from each other and apart from serious thought.
Blurred As It Is
This project served as my MFA thesis, but is also a larger project that has involved archival research, onsite interviews, and hours of transcription and translation. I write about a statue of the Virgin Mary in the north of France and her relationship to both small and large history.
A novel about belonging, linguistic immersion, and family loyalty, this project has involved extensive interviewing and research into cultural context. The novel takes place in Royat, France and involves Royalism and Catholicism.
